You Are:
We are looking for highly skilled and innovative Raspberry Pi Camera Streaming Engineer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and implement code to grab images from four cameras connected to a Raspberry Pi Zero and stream them to a laptop over a WiFi network. It should be noted that the drivers for the cameras are not available.
The Opportunity:
- Develop and implement code to interface with four cameras connected to a Raspberry Pi Zero.
- Establish a reliable connection between the cameras and the Raspberry Pi Zero.
- Stream the images captured by the cameras to a laptop over a WiFi network.
- Optimize the code for efficient image processing and streaming.
- Troubleshoot and debug any issues that may arise during the development process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the camera streaming functionality.
What you need:
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
- Proficiency in C++ and C# programming languages.
- Experience with Raspberry Pi development and Linux-based operating systems.
- Solid understanding of USB communication protocols.
- Familiarity with UART and I2C communication protocols.
- Familiarity with WiFi networking and streaming technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with camera interfacing and image processing.
- Knowledge of video compression and streaming protocols.
- Familiarity with OpenCV or other computer vision libraries.
- Previous experience with Raspberry Pi Zero or similar embedded systems.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for Role
California – $80,000/Year – $1,20,000/Year
