Job description: I am recruiting for a R&D Director – Embedded Electronics to assign projects; oversee R&D functions; travel to various companies/suppliers to assist with R&D functions; oversee and approve New Product Setup, Engineering Change Notices, purchase requisitions, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Technical interface to the commercial, product management, and supply base in the areas of electro-mechanical technologies
- Develop new product innovations i.e., electronics, induction, power transfer, and wireless communication applications, for product categories.
- Optimize existing electronics designs
- Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements
- Leverage external variable engineering organizations
- Recommend electrical / mechanical product changes
- Manage budgets and projects to be on-time
- Work with outside vendors to assist on technical specifications and product requirements
- Drive Agency (CE/UL/FCC) Approvals and Certifications Conduct competitive benchmarking
- Performs other duties as assigned.
